Anointing of Sick

Anointing of the Sick is available for those who are seriously ill. The priest should be asked to administer this sacrament whenever someone becomes seriously ill or close to death. The elderly may also receive this sacrament at an anointing Mass (see below).

We also try to visit those who are in the hospital, especially in serious cases. Please call the parish office to inform us of the situation. The hospitals do not notify us and we have difficulty getting information from the desk about your condition.

The Sacrament of the Anointing of the Sick is offered to parishioners over the age of 65 during an Anointing Mass usually held in the fall and during Lent. These seniors receive this sacrament to assist them as their bodies begin to weaken and to help them keep Christ close during troubling times. A luncheon is usually provided following the Mass.
